On 26th September Reverend Fr. Deninton Subasinghe concluded his 5-years mission in Rome.

 

Rev. Fr. Subasinghe while studing for his licentiate and later for a PhD at Pontifical Gregoriana University in Rome, served as Parish Priest of Rome East - Cassia parish from 2010 to 2014 and He was then appointed to Rome South - Infernetto parish as an Additional Assistant Parish Priest from 2014 to 2015 by Mgr. Neville Perera.

 

In his farewell speech Rev. Fr. Deninton said that it was a great experience working as a Chaplain to migrants and that the experience he gained, has changed his life and has more profoundly formed him in the priesthood ministry.

 

He further alerted the faithful from the the evil which is a reality in this country and invited again and again to trust in Holy Mary, Our Mother.

 

Rome South - Infernetto parish, Acting Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Prasad Harshan on behalf of Reverend Monsignore Neville Joe thanked the outgoing priest for the service he has done for the parish.

 

Reverend Fr. Deninton Subasinghe has been appointed to serve in the "Benedict XVI" Institute in Bolawalana by His Eminence Malcolm Card. Ranjith, He is due to serve as an Associate Professor.
