On 9th March 2025, the newly appointed National Coordinator for Srilankan migrants in Italy Very Rev. Fr. Sanjeewa Mendis made a pastoral visit to the community of Parma in the North-Eastern region.

After the warm welcome by the community and its chaplain, Very Rev. Fr. Sanjeewa had discussions with the community on their problems and the integration process; soon after the "Lent 2025" message by the Italian Episcopal conference (CEI) was read to the participants. 

​

Rev. Fr. Sanjeewa encouraged the community of Parma which is one of the smallest community in Italy to continue their journey in Christ with their vibrant faith.

The pastoral visit concluded with the celebration of the first Lent Sunday Mass.
