On Sunday 4th Oct. 2015 eleven youths received the Sacrament of Confirmation by His Lordship Most Rev. Dr. Harold Anthony Perera, the Bishop of Kurunegala and Chairman of National Migrants Commission of the Bishops' Conference of Sri Lanka, at St. Mary's church in Infernetto, Rome south.

 

Bishop Harold is in Italy as the representative of Srilankan Bishops to the Synod of Bishops on the Family at the Vatican.

 

In His homily the Bishop stated:" You are now ready to well divulgate the Gospel of Jesus Lord as You know what is good and bad".

 

This important Sacrament donates to these young boys and girls, 7 precious gifts of the Holy Spirit which will enrich their lives.

 

The group was prepared to receive the sacrament by Reverend Father Deninton Subasinghe, a great Theologian.

 

The Liturgy was prepared by Reverend Father Prasad Harshan, Assistant Parish Priest of Rome South - Infernetto.

 

Most Rev. Dr. Neville Joe Perera as the Parish Priest thanked the Bishop and those who worked hard for the preparation of this liturgical event.
