His Eminence Malcolm Card. Ranjith participates at the extraordinary consistory in Rome

His Eminence Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith participated at the second Extraordinary Consistory convened by Holy Father Pope Leo XIV on June 26 and 27 at the Vatican.
The Extraordinary Consistory is consultative meeting which is called by the Pope himself and began with the Papal Mass in St. Peter’s Basilica on the first day.
The College of Cardinals met with the Pope at the Paul VI Hall and during its four sessions discussed and focused on the current situation of the Church and the world, the pursuit of peace, the implementation of the Synod and the papal encyclica “Magnifica Humanitas”.
During the meetings His Eminence Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith shared his wide pastoral experience on the subject matters with the Pope and with the cardinals.
178 cardinals from all over the world participated: the conclusive event of the consistory was the Papal mass on the solemnity of St Peter and Paul on the 29th June.
