Addressing the faithful at the feast of St. John Baptist, the Saint protector of the Archdiocese of

 

Genoa, His Eminence Angelo Card. Bagnasco said : “welcome those migrants who came honestly

 

and desperately finding for a better place!”.

 

His Eminence, a friend of Sri Lanka, as the President of the Italian Bishops' Conference invited

 

indirectly every Italian citizen to help the migrants who came every day to Italy from countries

 

where there is a war or there are poor conditions of living a life.

 

“And We as Catholic Church have to welcome and help them” and “You all as laity and sons of

 

God have to do more or at least try to help them without being blind, do not close your eyes to

 

these situations!” Cardinal Bagnasco said.

 

We as Srilankan migrants are happy to have an Eminent friend like Card. Bagnasco who always

 

helps migrants without seeing their origin.
