0004.jpg

Even this year, 50 priests from the Archdiocese of Colombo leaded by its Archbishop, His Eminence Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith undertook a 14 days-long pilgrimage to Italy and France.

The Archdiocesan presbyterium had the opportunity to visit workship places like Padua (St. Anthony's), Assisi (St. Francis), Foggia (St. padre Pio), Venice, Milan and Rome with the Vatican.

The tour included Lourdes and Ars (St. John Vianney) in France.

They participated to a Papal Audience at St. Peter's square on last Wednesday, 10th October 2018 and for the first time all 50 priests had the opportunity to meet the Holy Father Pope Francis, who then invited His Eminence Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith, the Archbishop of Colombo and the entire group of 50 young priests to pose for a group photo - His Holiness had a cordial chat with the group for several minutes.

The pilgrimage tour was coordinated by Rev. Msgr. Neville Joe Perera.
